Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Brownsville, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,755 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/19/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00-23:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting License: Valid RN license Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI Must-Have: Candidates must possess the following skills to be considered for the role: - Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting - Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred) - Strong triage and critical thinking skills - Trauma and cardiac alert experience, including care of STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients Description: This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The unit consists of 22 beds with a staff of 55. Staff on day shift includes a Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 1 AM ER Tech, 1 12-12 ER Tech, 10-10 RNs, 12-12 RNs, and 3-3 RNs. Night shift staff includes a Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 1 PM Tech, 1 12-12 ER Tech, 10-10 RNs, 12-12 RNs, and 3-3 RNs. The patient ratio is 4:1. Documentation is done using Meditech. The typical procedures performed on this unit include: - IV insertion and medication administration - EKGs and wound care - Moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion - Assisting with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response - Care of stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients - Transport preparation and coordination for higher levels of care - Triage assessment and prioritization based on ESI guidelines - Isolation and infection control protocols - Documentation and reassessment in fast-paced environments The ideal candidate will be team-oriented with a strong work ethic and accountability. They should be punctual, reliable, and compassionate, providing excellent patient-centered care. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are essential. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required. Two weekends per schedule are needed, with no on-call requirements.
