Job Description:

Duration: 1 year+ contract
Pay Rate: $22.75/hour
Location: Pharr, TX - Onsite during training/ramp-up, then hybrid
Travel: Approximately 10% around the surrounding Pharr, TX

What you will be doing:
Responsible for safely performing intermediate level technical work and higher-level work activities and projects requiring the planning, engineering, analysis, research and design of distribution facilities to serve company's TX customers.
Design overhead and underground distribution facilities for new and existing customers in accordance with company's Distribution Standards, NESC requirements and the established Tariff. Develop construction drawings (sketch), in compliance with company's Distribution Standards and NESC requirements, which crews will utilize to construct various projects throughout Pharr, TX and the surrounding area.
Consult with residential and commercial customers about policies, budgets, deadlines, and requirements for new electric service. Provide cost estimates for projects, prepare/obtain easement documents for facility installations and stake locations for new facility installations associated with design projects.
Work closely with customers to determine their electrical equipment needs for new industrial, commercial, and residential loads under stringent deadlines. Obtain permits for facilities in accordance with the company's local city ordinances, state, federal, and county agencies as required.
Execute contracts and agreements in compliance with administrative instructions and regulatory requirements.
Become well versed with company's Distribution Design program and other computer programs necessary for completion of projects.
Produce computer-aided design (CAD) drawings for construction projects.
Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned in a safe, effective and efficient way, working toward accomplishing individual and team goals.

Skills needed:
Technical Proficiency: Possesses technical knowledge acquired from an Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic/ Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology to solve well-defined problems or provide analysis, with guidance from higher-level engineers.
Assists higher-level engineers in handling well-defined portions of more complex problems and analyses.
